Melt blown non woven fabric are non woven fabric manufactured by melt blow process.

They also belong to products directly manufactured by melt spinning process.

Exxon company of the United States began the research of melt blown technology in the 1960s and obtained the patent at the earliest time.

At present, this process is still the mainstream production process widely used in melt blown nonwoven industry. Its characteristics are as follows:

A single row of spinneret holes are adopted and drawn with hot air flow, which is blown out at a certain angle from both sides of the spinneret.

Melt blown nonwoven fabric production process uses high melt index (MFI) polymer chips, which are extruded, heated and melted into high-temperature melt with good flow performance, and then uses high-temperature and high-speed hot air flow to blow the melt jet from the spinneret into fine fibers.

It is a production process in which fiber webs are gathered on the receiving (such as screen forming machine) and bonded to each other by their own waste heat.

It has the characteristics of short process flow (it only takes more than ten minutes from feeding to forming the product), simple equipment (such as the equipment that does not need to consolidate the fiber mesh in the production line), fine fiber (the fiber diameter reaches micron level or even sub nano level), diversified product performance and so on.

Melt blown method is an important process for manufacturing fine filter materials and high barrier materials, and it is also a method for manufacturing nano materials.

The first English letter of melt blown nonwovens process is "M", so melt blown cloth is also known as "M" cloth, and melt blown system is also referred to as "M" system, sometimes referred to as "MB" system.

Generally, most independent melt blown nonwovens production lines have only one spinning system, or two or more melt blown systems can be configured in the production line according to the requirements of the market to form MM or MMM production lines.
